In 2019, the Spectrum Collaboration Challenge (SC2) finale will take place at the Mobile World Congress Americas (MWCA) annual conference and exhibition – one of the largest gatherings of the wireless telecommunications community in the U.S. During this year’s MWCA conference – to be held from September 12-14, 2018 in Los Angeles, CA – attendees will have two opportunities to hear from the SC2 program manager, Paul Tilghman, as he discusses the significance of this competition as well as the progress achieved to date.
On Wednesday, September 12 from 3:15-4:00pm PT, Tilghman will speak alongside senior leaders from Cisco, Ericsson, and Sprint during a panel on AI’s role in shaping, and re-shaping, networks. As SC2 is exploring ways to merge AI, machine learning, and software-defined radio technology to help fundamentally rethink spectrum operations, this panel topic is particularly relevant to our Challenge.
On Thursday, September 13 from 3:15-3:30pm PT, Tilghman will present a keynote on SC2 in MWCA’s 4 Years From Now (4YFN) track. During this informative session attendees will gain insights into the work SC2 competitors are doing to produce breakthroughs in collaborative AI, catalyzing a new paradigm that addresses the ever-growing problem of spectrum scarcity.
