SC2 Championship Livestream Announced

DARPA will be live streaming the SC2 Championship Event from Los Angeles. View the live action on YouTube and the SC2 website.

Are you unable to make it to MWC19 Los Angeles this year, but don’t want to miss the live SC2 Championship Event? DARPA will be live streaming the event free on its YouTube channel, DARPAtv, as well as here on the SC2 website. All of the action starts at 3:30 PM Pacific Time on Wednesday, October 23.

During the event, you will hear from the DARPA program manager leading SC2, Mr. Paul Tilghman, as well as the event emcee, Grant Imahara, who is well known for his work on the hit Discovery series MythBusters, and Netflix series White Rabbit Project. Ben Hilburn, president of GNU Radio, will also provide commentary throughout the event. From 3:30-6:00 PM Pacific Time, across several stages of competition, the competitors’ radios will attempt to surmount the technical hurdles they would face in real world environments, with one team eliminated after each round. The event will culminate in a high-energy, final head-to-head match-up between the top teams’ autonomous radios to determine the recipient of the $2 million grand prize.

For those that are unable to watch the event in realtime, a recording will also be available on DARPAtv shortly after the conclusion of the Championship.

Add reminders to your calendar now, and watch the excitement here on the 23rd!
